Born and raised in Massachusetts, Christy originally had aspirations of applying to medical school to become a pediatrician. She began working at our hospital part-time as a receptionist in 2001 while she was attending college. Christy was quickly promoted to Reception Supervisor and was also trained in the hospital's referral department. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, focusing heavily on premed. Drawn to the practice of advanced medicine and the focus of VCA on educational opportunities, she decided to switch her career goals upon graduating from college. After graduation, Christy was promoted to Client Service Manager, followed by a promotion again to the overall Hospital Manager for the practice in 2013. After 6 years in that position, Christy transitioned into the role of Experience Manager, serving to ensure that our hospital is always doing everything we can to foster a positive client, patient, and staff experience.
Christy loves the diversity and spontaneity of her position. No day is the same for her. In particular, she enjoys getting to know the clients and their pets and ensuring that they have a great experience at our facility. When not at work, Christy enjoys spending time with her 3 children, her husband, and her dog Jax. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, scrapbooking, and crafts.
