Lauren is a Massachusetts native who has worked in the veterinary industry for over 20 years. Her love of animals has always been apparent. As soon as she was old enough, she spent time volunteering at a veterinary hospital, zoo, and big cat refuge. She went on to graduate with a BS in Biotechnology from the University of New Hampshire, before completing a master's degree at Harvard University. Lauren started her career as a veterinary technician in general practice, but soon found her way to an Emergency and Specialty hospital. There she worked in the ICU for 5 years before being promoted to Head Technician of the Emergency and Critical Care department. In this role, she continued to work on the floor while managing a staff of 30 people for over a decade.
Collaborative care has always been her focus, so accepting a position as Referral & Marketing Manager at VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital was a natural choice. Lauren enjoys working with the many primary care veterinarians in the area, ensuring that we are meeting the needs of their patients and their practices. She also is a proponent of continuing education, and is thrilled to be able to organize CE events throughout the year for our staff and our referral community.
When not at work, Lauren is happiest spending time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys travel, and is bound and determined to finish visiting all 50 states, as well as every continent, when time allows.
