Rachel started as a Veterinary Assistant at VCA St. Mary's in September, 2021. Rachel initially went to college to become a Wildlife Biologist, but later decided that a career in Veterinarian Support would be a perfect fit. She has had a passion for science and helping animals hands-on for as long as she can remember, and working in a veterinary clinic is the best of both worlds! Rachel loves spending time with her family, her Black Lab, Mattie, and her two horses, Sierra and Jack. Her hobbies include drawing, photography, hiking, horse riding, crocheting, and working on her old Mazda Miata.

Why I joined the veterinary field: "I decided to go into the veterinary field so I could channel my love for animals into helping pets heal and stay healthy. It is incredibly fulfilling and rewarding to be directly involved with the wellbeing of our community's beloved pets"
