Taylor obtained her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Baker College of Flint, MI, in 2017. There, she maintained her place on the President's List and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. She was also an active member and sitting President of the Vet Tech Student Club while attending school.
Although her love for all creatures was apparent from an early age, her career in veterinary medicine began in 2016 when she was hired as a veterinary assistant at VCA Swartz Creek Animal Hospital. She was then promoted to licensed veterinary technician (LVT) upon completion of the VTNE in 2017. She has a special interest in anesthesia and internal medicine, and can often be found leading, teaching, and assisting in the hospital operating room.
Taylor has three German Shepherd dog mixes named Casey, Vex, and Zelda, and three cats named Salem, Trinket, and Orange Chicken.
Her many passions outside of work include hiking, gardening, D&D, computer gaming, nail art, genealogy, and bird watching. She and her husband, Tom, enjoy visiting and exploring many state and national parks together. Her dream is to one day travel to Europe to visit the UK, Ireland, Iceland, and the Netherlands.
