Melissa Spano, Veterinary Assistant

Hi! My name is Melissa and I started with VCA back in 2019 in Atlanta, GA. We moved to the 321 in June 2020 right after tying the knot(!) for my husband's new job and thankfully I was able to transfer to Lisa's awesome team here at VCA Village Animal Hospital. Although I've grown up with animals and many of my previous jobs have been animal related, this is my first experience in the veterinary field. I love being a Veterinary Assistant at VCA because we truly do treat our client's pets like our own.

I grew up in New Jersey, and have learned that although the snow is pretty, it is way too cold in the North! My hobbies include playing kickball, baking with my husband, and loving all the animals of course! My furry family includes my cat, Roger. Roger is an 8 year old Domestic Shorthair who I've had since he was 7 months old and I can't wait to get him a Golden Retriever brother or sister!
