Originally from Manchester, England, Dr. Katie Jones now calls Canada home. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2021 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2025 from the University of Calgary in Alberta. Following graduation, she moved to Southern California to complete a rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.
Dr. Jones has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and avian and exotic medicine and is Fear Free Certified. Her love for caring for a wide variety of species is also reflected at home, where she shares her life with Shadow the rabbit, Nova the snake, and Azra the blue-tongue skink.
After falling in love with California's sunny weather and proximity to the ocean, Dr. Jones is excited to join the VCA Wilshire team and care for patients of all shapes and sizes—furry, feathered, and scaly!
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Jones enjoys traveling, experiencing new cultures, scuba diving, hiking, and exploring everything California has to offer.
