Dr. Castro grew up in Northeast Ohio and attended Case Western Reserve University for college. Prior to veterinary school he obtained a Master's Degree in Public Health from UC Berkeley and worked as an Epidemiology Investigative Service Fellow at the California Department of Public Health. He later graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Immediately after veterinary school, Dr. Castro completed his residency in Comparative Medicine in 2012 at UCLA. He has worked at various locations throughout the Bay Area and Greater Los Angeles. In his spare time, he likes to watch movies, exercise, compete in endurance sports, and spend time with his family.
