Tracey Hageny

Dr. Hageny grew up in a small, rural town in northern Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison for her Bachelor of Science where she majored in Immunology and Bacteriology. She then continued work in a Master of Science program in Immunology where she worked with both canine distemper virus and canine parvovirus. She helped to develop a new vaccine for canine distemper virus which is currently on the market. She went on to attend veterinary medical school at UW Madison, graduating in 2007. After graduation, she went on to complete an emergency and critical internship in Richmond Virginia. She then practiced in Wisconsin for several years before moving to Texas in 2012.

She has a special interest in dentistry. She is a strong proponent of heartworm prevention for all dogs and cats.

Dr. Hageny lives in Hurst with her 3 kids, 4 dogs and a very patient husband. When not at work, you can generally find her at one of the local ballfields yelling at one of her kids to RUN FASTER while watching their baseball or softball games. Her hobbies include gardening, photography and failing at Pinterest projects. She has several chickens and two honeybee hives.
Amanda Wilkins

Amanda started at VCA Advanced Care in 2011 as a Technician, then transitioned to Technician Supervisor before becoming Hospital Manager. Her goal is that all animals in our care are treated and cared for like they are our own.

She has 4 dogs - two wolf hybrids Kiowa and Beowulf, a Leonberger MacLeod, and a Great Pyrenees Denali. She still has her high school barrel horse, a 36 year old Quarter Horse named Twinkle and has recently added 11 chickens to her growing household.
