Amanda was born and raised in Texas. She graduated Tarleton University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in equine studies. She has been working as a technician since 2004 and has been active with local humane societies, fostering dogs since she was in high school.
Amanda started at VCA Advanced Care in 2011 as a Technician, then transitioned to Technician Supervisor before becoming Hospital Manager. Her goal is that all animals in our care are treated and cared for like they are our own.
She has 4 dogs - two wolf hybrids Kiowa and Beowulf, a Leonberger MacLeod, and a Great Pyrenees Denali. She still has her high school barrel horse, a 36 year old Quarter Horse named Twinkle and has recently added 11 chickens to her growing household.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading, horseback riding, camping, and off-roading in her Jeep. She enjoys nature photography and traveling to historical locations. Scotland is her favorite place she has been to. She loves football and hockey (go Cowboys and Stars!).
