Staff Veterinarian
DVM
Dr . Lori Ouzoonian is originally from southern New York, where she grew up in the small town of Warwick. She always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian and began working in the veterinary field as a teenager at several local small animal practices. She completed her Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science at Cornell University and then her veterinary degree at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. Following her internship, she worked in a small animal general practice for several years but was happy to return to Alameda East as a staff doctor. Aside from her interest in general practice and preventative medicine, Dr. Ouzoonian also has a special interest in dermatology and internal medicine. In her free time, Dr. Ouzoonian enjoys gardening, skiing, biking, and hiking around the beautiful Colorado mountains with her husband and Airedale Terrier, Phineas, or reading a good book with her 18yr old cat, Minky, on her lap.
