Dr. Kattman was born in Colorado but spent most of her childhood in Western New York. She graduated with a B.S. degree from Duke University in 1993 and continued her education at Cornell University where she received her veterinary degree in 1997. Dr. Kattman then completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Animal Hospital of Pittsford in Rochester, N.Y. She worked for several years at a large hospital in Massachusetts before joining the staff at Alameda East in 2004. In 2008 Dr. Kattman briefly moved to Vermont but returned to Denver shortly thereafter in 2009, happy to rejoin the staff at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Kattman is most interested in general practice and preventative health care but also enjoys internal medicine and dermatology. When she is not at work, Dr. Kattman spends time with her husband and two young children. She has an adorable cat named Fig and little black terrier named Willa who seems to find trouble pretty easily. In her down time, Dr. Kattman enjoys hiking, swimming, and Zumba.
