Dr. Bauer is originally from Marietta, Georgia. She studied biology and Spanish at Emory University in Atlanta for her undergraduate education. She then got a master's degree in conservation medicine at Tufts University during which she did field research monitoring spider monkeys in Costa Rica. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where she obtained her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree in 2024.
Dr. Bauer's professional interests include wildlife, emergency and internal medicine, specifically infectious diseases. However, she is enthusiastic to explore all aspects of veterinary medicine. In her free time, Dr. Bauer enjoys live music, hiking, kayaking, and skiing as well as taking her cat, Kiwi, for walks/ picnics in the park with friends.
