Dr. Savannah Giannasi is a dedicated veterinary neurologist with a strong commitment to excellent patient care. Growing up just outside Richmond, VA, she completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) before earning her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Giannasi then completed a one-year small animal rotating internship here at VCA Alameda East, where her dedication to neurology was solidified.
Her passion for veterinary neurology led her to a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at Tufts Veterinary School in Massachusetts, which she completed in July 2024. Dr. Giannasi is thrilled to return to VCA Alameda East as part of their esteemed neurology team, where she is committed to prioritizing patient quality of life and delivering compassionate care.
Her professional interests are broad, encompassing neurocritical care, refractory epilepsy, immune-mediated diseases, neurosurgery, and more. Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Giannasi enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
