Silbia’s career at VCA started in 2021 as an animal care assistant. Through hard work and a love for veterinary medicine, she worked her way up to the role of veterinary assistant. Her favorite part of working at VCA All Pets Salinas is helping sick pets and the opportunity to serve as a translator in the community. What first sparked her interest in the veterinary field was when her pet had a litter, and she helped with the whelping process.
Silbia is especially passionate about client education. She enjoys helping translate complex medical information so families feel confident in their pets’ care. Silbia is always looking for ways to grow, and after recently completing a five-month program through Veterinary Allied Staff Education, she is now working toward becoming a certified registered veterinary technician.
When she is not at the hospital, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and their pack of six dogs.
