Lingi

Veterinary Assistant

Lingi was born in Watsonville and grew up in the Moss Landing area of Monterey County. Before entering the world of veterinary medicine, Lingi studied dance full-time and worked in customer service. She started in our industry over a decade ago as a kennel assistant at a private practice. She learned to groom cats and dogs, and her consistent commitment to patient care earned her a promotion to veterinary assistant.

Lingi was hired as a veterinary assistant and groomer at VCA All Pets Salinas Animal Hospital in 2022. Her sense of humor, consistently positive attitude, and daily commitment to showing up for our patients and her team are classic Lingi trademarks. At work, Lingi wears multiple hats: you might see her using pet hair dye for a fun grooming session, monitoring anesthesia, or caring for our boarding pets. Performing large dog dental cleanings, obtaining blood samples, and working with "spicy" patients are Lingi's favorite things to do at work. She also has a silly German shepherd mix named Baki who accompanies her to work every day.

In her free time, Lingi enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog. You can usually find her at the gym, drawing and painting, or finding new creative outlets to express herself.

Lingi's favorite parts of working at VCA All Pets Salinas are her colleagues who have become her friends, supportive management that cares, and being able to bring Baki to work with her every day. She says VCA feels like a home away from home for her, but we know associates like Lingi are the ones who help make our atmosphere so warm and welcoming.
