Dr. Jonjo Reece graduated from The University of the West Indies, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After teaching at his veterinary alma mater and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, he completed a rotating internship at The University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. He then completed a small animal internal medicine residency at Tufts University, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Reece became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2021. He continued his career in academia as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Small Animal Medicine at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He joined VCA Animal Specialty Group in 2022. His special interests include: hepatology, endocrinology, infectious diseases and anything that meows!
Dr. Reece is originally from the island Barbados and was happy to move to San Diego for the warmer weather. Outside of work, his hobbies include cooking and trying new recipes, beach volleyball and tennis.
