Dr. Laura Kosmo began her journey in the veterinary field in 2000, driven by a deep passion for animals and medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science with honors from UC Santa Barbara in 2006 and went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She primarily worked as a small animal general practitioner and surgeon before changing her focus to emergency care in 2018. In 2019, Dr. Kosmo joined the ASG team as an emergency veterinarian. She is especially drawn to the fast-paced and dynamic nature of emergency medicine and has particular interests in surgery, radiology, and exotics.
At home, Dr. Kosmo shares her life and love with two pitties (Denali and Sugar), two cats (Paisley and Orangie), multiple reptiles, and a betta fish. Her deep connection with animals is reflected in both her professional work and personal life. Outside the hospital, she enjoys traveling, wildlife, nature, scuba diving, horseback riding, snowboarding, music, art, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends.
