Tyya Nathaniel is the Lead Specialty Surgery Technician here at VCA Arboretum View. Tyya has always had an interest in caring for animals since she was very young, which inspired her to pursue and receive her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2013. She received her Veterinary Technician Certification from Fox College in 2019 and started working in general practice, where she soon realized that she had an interest in surgery. Tyya joined the specialty surgery team at VCA Arboretum View in 2020 where her desire to learn more about anesthesia continues to grow. She enjoys having the opportunity to learn about many different cases, see amazing surgeries, and helping patients improve their quality of life. In her free time, Tyya enjoys playing videos games, playing the flute, reading, and going to the movies. She shares her home with her red eared slider turtle Speedy, dog Cory, and cat Kyo.
