Jessica began working in veterinary medicine at a small general practice, after completing her Bachelor of Science in 2000. In 2002 she completed the Veterinary Technology program at Joliet Junior College and obtained her CVT license. Jessica has worked in several areas of veterinary medicine including general practice, research, and specialty medicine. In 2004, while in specialty surgery, Jessica discovered her passion for helping animals get through difficult procedures. She obtained a VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist) in anesthesia and analgesia in 2008. Jessica's focus has always been to provide an approach that targets pain relief, patient specific anesthesia, and to give every patient the best level of care that she can provide.
Recently, Jessica has moved from an anesthesia technician position into a supervisor position at VCA Arboretum View with the hopes of sharing her knowledge and experience with her fellow technicians. Jessica's goal now is to not only be a patient advocate, but one for the technicians as well.
When not at work, Jessica can be found at an ice rink watching her two children compete in ice hockey, or at home enjoying family time with their two cats.
