Dr. Balelo is from a small town in Kelley, Iowa. She received her B.S. in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. She has been with VCA Blue Cross Animal Hospital for 17 years. Dr. Balelo's favorite part of her job is creating long term patient/client relationships and she has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery.

When not at work, she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family including her two golden retrievers, Manny and Linny.
