Raised on a farm, Starra developed a deep love for animals from an early age. She earned her degree as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2002 from Mount San Antonio College. After taking some time off to focus on raising her three children, she returned to veterinary care in 2011 and has been with VCA California Oaks Animal Hospital ever since. At home, she's accompanied by her two dogs, Willow and Jaxon, and a cat named Tickle Toes. Outside of work, Starra enjoys hiking and staying active at the gym. What she loves most about working at VCA California Oaks is the high standard of veterinary care provided to every patient. Her favorite aspects of her role include monitoring anesthesia and working in radiology.
