Vicky has many nicknames; two are "Victrocious" and "Mama Vic." Vicky joined VCA California Oaks Animal Hospital in 1998. She got into the field because of her love for animals and working with them was always her dream. Vicky started caring for wild birds when she was very young, nursing them back to health and then setting them free. She also had several pets of her own as a kid. Her dream was to become a veterinarian, but she had a family instead. Her passion is still to devote her time to caring for animals.
Vicky learned her veterinary assistant skills through hands-on training and those around her. In return, she started teaching. She loves VCA Cal Oaks because "of the family ties that we have bonded with each other. The company also provides many continuing education sessions that help us grow in all areas of the field." Vicky is the glue that holds all of us together.
Her hobbies include photography, collecting shot glasses from places she travels, caring for her pets, and enjoying her kids and grandkids. Vicky has many pets including two chinchillas named Charlie and Trip; a kitty named Biscuits; and two dogs, Olaf, a bull terrier, and Petunia Pickle Bottom, a terrier mix. She also has three parrots named Bellee, Twedee, and Dixie.
