"My passion from a young age was to grow up to be a Veterinarian, like my father, and help animals of all kinds whenever I could."
Dr. Peter Baumwell was born and raised in New York. As a child he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a Veterinarian. He graduated from the University of Guadalajara in 1979. Following his graduation, he practiced animal medicine in New York until 1982 when he then moved to Florida. In 1988, Dr. Baumwell started his own Veterinarian practice, Central Park Animal Clinic, which grew to become Central Park Animal Hospital. He has been happily married for over 26 years and has two pampered dogs at home, "Stella" a Toy Poodle, and "Captain Sig" a Shih Tzu.
"I fulfill my passion for animals by working as technician in the Veterinary field. It gives me a great deal of satisfaction watching animals walk out the door in a healthier state than when they first walked in. I love working for VCA Central Park because it enables me to offer the best quality of veterinary medicine to pets and gives me the tools to help educate clients on animal care."
Allison was born in south Florida and has lived here all her life. She has been a Veterinary technician for almost 7 years and has been with the VCA family for over 3 years. She has a young daughter at home and a loving boyfriend. Just like Allison at a young age, her daughter is showing an interest in animals and their care. And like her mother, it may very well turn into a passionate career. At home she has a cherished chihuahua named "Pee Wee", who she dotes over endlessly.
