Khira graduated from Johnson College Veterinary Technician Program in 2021, has been a member since 2019, joined the VCA team in 2023, and also became certified with the AASVB in August 2023. Khira's current pet family includes two cats, Zelda and Whiskey, along with four fancy goldfish and hermit crabs. She hopes to be able to one day rescue and care for the senior cats so they can experience a loving home before receiving the 'golden collar.' Outside of the veterinary field, Khira enjoys playing video games with her cats, who keep her lap warm, and baking. Khira knew this would be her career since growing up with so many rescue pets since a young age and knowing it was her dream to guide pet owners in the right direction for pets to receive the best possible care to live long, healthy lives. "We know our pets for only a portion of our life, but to them, we are their entire life."
