Born in Virginia and raised in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Dr. Abigail Gibbons developed an early interest in medicine, inspired by her father, a doctor in the Navy. This passion, combined with her deep love for animals, led her to pursue a veterinary career. Dr. Gibbons earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (MVB) at University College Dublin, graduating in 2024.

With a strong focus on dermatology, endocrinology, and oncology, Dr. Gibbons plans to specialize in dermatology. Outside of work, she enjoys running, experimenting with new recipes—especially Italian cuisine—walking her two family Bernedoodles, Lucy and Theo, and engaging in board games like Catan and Uno with friends and family. As the second oldest of five siblings, Dr. Gibbons values family time and looks forward to rescuing a greyhound or two in the future.
