Internship - VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital

Dr. James Herrington began his career at VCA Hollywood in 1988 after graduating from the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine. Over his career, Dr. Herrington developed a special interest in 'working canines' and dentistry and built a respected reputation for his care of our local k9 police officers and for his advanced dentistry services.

Dr. Herrington's professional involvement includes service as the past President of the Broward County Veterinary Medical Association as well as board certified training since 1995, as a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline Practice. In 2013, Dr. Herrington achieved certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Herrington and his wife Carey proudly raised two children in Davie, Florida and today he serves as Medical Director of our VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital.
