Dr. Corey Young is a South Florida native, born and raised in Boca Raton. Dr. Young completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Florida where during his studies he spent several semesters volunteering at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital and for the Gainesville Rabbit Rescue. Dr. Young obtained his veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis and completed his clinical year at Louisiana State University during which he explored externships with VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital, Animal Eye Guys of South Florida, Marathon Veterinary Hospital and Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital.
Dr. Young joins our VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital team to further develop his special interest in ophthalmology. small animal medicine, as well as explore exotic animal medicine through our partnership with Zoo Miami and VCA South Dade. Dr. Young's journey with us began as a high school volunteer and we are honored that he has chosen to work with us to provide world class medicine to his hometown.
In his free time, Dr. Young likes to cook, watch college football (Go Gators!), and spend time with his family, which includes his dogs, Ella and Riley, his cat, Penny, and his corn snake, Apollo.
