Staff Veterinarian DVM

Member of the Broward County Veterinary Medical Association

Dr. Corey Young is a South Florida native, born and raised in Boca Raton. Dr. Young completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Florida where during his studies he spent several semesters volunteering at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital and for the Gainesville Rabbit Rescue.  Dr. Young obtained his veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis and completed his clinical year at Louisiana State University during which he explored externships with VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital, Animal Eye Guys of South Florida, Marathon Veterinary Hospital and Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital.

Dr. Young joins our VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital team to further develop his special interest in ophthalmology and small animal medicine, as well as explore exotic animal medicine through our partnership with Zoo Miami. Additionally, we are excited to welcome Dr. Young's returns as we are proud to share that when starting out, he worked as one of our favorite Veterinary Assistants!

In his free time, Dr. Young likes to cook, watch college football (Go Gators!), and spend time with his family, which includes his dogs, Ella and Riley, his cat, Penny, and his corn snake, Apollo.

Dr. Young is excited to be returning home to start his veterinary career.
