Dr. Wendi Walsh is a Pacific Northwest native who grew up in Gig Harbor. She received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Washington State University and then moved to Iowa, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she returned home and completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. Dr. Walsh is Fear Free Certified and has a special interests in neurology and internal medicine. Kim is a licensed veterinary technician, originally from Michigan. She has been in the veterinary profession for the past 20years and is a former technician supervisor from our sister hospital in Covington, WA. Her main areas of focus include low-stress handling of patients and client communication. She is Fear Free Certified and looks forward to incorporating those techniques with the animal care here at VCA Kent Animal Hospital.
