Dr. Boyd grew up in Northern Ireland. He attended veterinary school at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, graduating in 2016. Dr. Boyd has held positions in both general practice and emergency care in the UK and New Zealand. He moved to the USA in 2019, initially working at another VCA hospital in Denver, Colorado, before moving to California in 2021, where he joined the team at Madera. He currently lives in Sonoma County with his partner, Kate, a Bay Area native, and their Dachshund, Ronan.

Dr. Boyd enjoys dentistry, soft tissue surgery and building client relationships.

In his spare time, he tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible, hiking, cycling, camping or skiing. Dr. Boyd also loves getting home to visit family and exploring new places.
