Dr. Jamie Bean, our new associate veterinarian, is excited to join VCA Metzger Animal Hospital in August. She originally hails from a small gold rush town in Northern California, but has living around the country and can't wait to make Pennsylvania her new home. Dr. Bean completed her undergraduate at the University of Hawaii Hilo, and gained her veterinary degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Dr. Bean has practiced veterinary medicine in Baltimore, MD and Salt Lake City, UT. When not serving her community caring for dogs and cats, Dr. Bean enjoys camping, snowboarding, riding motorcycles, and adventuring with her partner, Doug, and her awesome faux shepherd, Camper. She can also be found relaxing at home knitting or wrapped up in a good book.
