What To Expect at Check-In

Surgical patients are advised not to eat after midnight the night of their procedure. They are to be brought in at 8:30 in the morning to be checked in. You will check in with a CSR who will guide you through signing the anesthetic paperwork and alert the doctor you are here. The doctor will check your pet in, go over the procedure and have you sign the treatment plan. At that time you will be free to go and leave your pet in the best of hands.

What to Expect While Your Pet is Here

We will contact you regarding your pets status after surgery at the number you leave for us but you are always welcome to call us anytime to find out how your pet is doing. We understand this can be a nerve-wracking time for you and want you to be comfortable with your pet's care. We will also call you when your pet is ready to go home.

What to Expect at Pick Up

At the time of discharge, you will check-out with a CSR who will alert your pet's veterinary assistant that you are here. The veterinary assistant will come up and go over discharge instructions, including any medications and special care your pet may need and may include scheduling a follow-up visit. This is a great time to ask any and all questions you might have. They will then reunite you with your pet and you are free to go. If at any time you have questions after picking your pet up, please call us.

What is Laser Surgery?

Laser surgery is essentially amplification of light to cut tissue. The laser heats and vaporizes the water in the tissue that causes separation. Laser surgery means less pain, bleeding, and swelling. It is more sterile as it destroys viruses and bacteria as it goes. It means a precise, shorter procedure with, most importantly, a faster recovery time.
