Dr. Mehra earned undergraduate degrees in both Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management from the University of Idaho. She then obtained her Veterinary medical degree from Washington State University in 1990. She worked several years for Idaho Fish and Game, the United States Forest Service in southeast Alaska, and participated in many wildlife research projects throughout the west.  Her professional interests are small animal medicine, dentistry, and dermatology; she performs acupuncture at VCA North Idaho Animal Hospital. She has a passion for tennis and yoga that is only surpassed by her love for her family.
