Dr. Dawn Mehra, alongside her husband Dr. Robert Pierce, founded North Idaho Animal Hospital over 25 years ago. She earned her veterinary degree from Washington State University in 1990 and has since been a compassionate advocate for the well-being of our furry companions. Dr. Mehra's professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry, and dermatology.

Recently, Dr. Mehra has shifted her focus to community work in Sandpoint, though she continues to be an integral part of our team as a regular relief veterinarian. When she's not at the hospital, you can often find her on the tennis court, enjoying her favorite pastime.
