Dr. Stegemoller's journey to becoming a veterinarian began in her childhood, driven by her deep love for animals, particularly horses. Originally from southern Indiana, she pursued her passion by earning a BS in agriculture from Murray State University in 2009. She graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013, after which she completed a mixed animal veterinary internship at an AAHA-accredited hospital in Colorado.
Dr. Stegemoller is dedicated to practicing Fear Free medicine and specializes in internal medicine with advanced ultrasound imaging. Her compassionate approach to care is evident in how she treats each patient as if they were her own pet, often getting down on the floor during examinations. She has a particular affinity for working with senior pets, ensuring they enjoy a high quality of life with their families.
Outside of her veterinary practice, Dr. Stegemoller cherishes time spent with her husband, Derek, and daughter, Charlotte, along with their beloved dog, Junie. The family enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and outdoor adventures together. The Stegemollers are delighted to be part of the Sandpoint community.
