Dr. Stegemoller's dream of becoming a veterinarian started as a little girl. Originally from southern Indiana, her love of animals, especially horses, led her to Murray State University where she earned her B.S. in Agriculture in 2009. She graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and headed to Colorado to complete a mixed animal veterinary internship at an AAHA hospital. She and her husband spent almost 3 years in the Rocky Mountains before returning to Indiana in 2016 to practice at a Fear Free/AAHA Hospital. In 2018, her family relocated to beautiful north Idaho and she joined the team at NIAH. Dr. Stegemoller's passion is practicing the best Fear Free medicine and surgery; she has a special interest in ultrasound, internal medicine, and pain management. She enjoys working with senior patients, helping them to enjoy a great quality of life with their families.

In her time away from practice, Dr. Stegemoller enjoys life with her husband, Derek, and daughter, Charlotte. Their family is completed with their dog, Junie. Dr. Stegemoller loves to mountain bike, ski, and adventure outdoors with her family. The Stegemollers are so happy to be a part of the Sandpoint community.
