Dr. Talitha Neher grew up in Sandpoint and always meant to return. She attended veterinary school in Wisconsin, received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, then completed a small animal surgical/internal medicine internship in Saskatchewan. She gradually worked her way west via Missoula and the Boise area. In the winter of 2020, she packed up her family and beloved canine collection and moved back to Bonner County to be closer to her parents. She lives with her husband, two feral children, and a motley assortment of bull-and-terrier dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys coercing her family to go hiking and kayaking early in the morning and dabbles in Combined Driving with Darby O'Pony, who is arguably the Best Pony Ever.

Dr. Neher is extremely proficient with tough medicine, surgery cases and has worked in both private practice and non-profit animal welfare groups. Her favorite part of her job include identifying and managing behavior problems and surgery, especially vasectomies and ovary-sparing sterilizations. Her passion for celebrating the human-animal bond. She knows that the better people bond with their furry friends the less likely the pets will suffer from isolation, re-homing, or euthanasia.
