Dr. Patel joined VCA North Portland and VCA Laurelhurst in June 2024. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Patel has spent the last 12 years in Australia. Dr. Patel loves the vast array of veterinary medicine but really loves seeing a positive result come from treating a patient, whether the case is simple or complex. Hearing the words "they are like a new dog" or "they are acting like a puppy/kitten again" gives her great joy. 

Dr. Patel has a special interest in musculoskeletal diseases and is a Certified Rehabilitation Practitioner. In addition, she genuinely enjoys surgical cases and regenerative medicine.

Venturing back to the United States to be closer to family, Dr. Patel is excited to be in the Pacific North West Community where she can build new relationships with clients and patients. 

When not working, Dr. Patel enjoys hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, eating good food, and reading.
