Dr. Pyrdek grew up in Pennsylvania but fell in love with Spokane, Washington while attending veterinary school at Washington State University. She knew she had found her home in the Pacific Northwest and has been dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and their families ever since.
Dr. Pyrdek enjoys working with all animals, but she has a special place in her heart for guinea pigs and rabbits. Her professional interests include exotic animal medicine, nutrition, and helping senior pets live their best lives in their golden years. She is Fear Free Certified, ensuring a low-stress experience for pets during their visits. She is also a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian (CPEV), having completed the Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy (CAETA) to provide gentle, dignified end-of-life care.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Pyrdek is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, skiing, and baking cookies. Whether she’s on the trails or in the kitchen, she brings the same passion and dedication that she gives to her patients every day.
