Comprehensive Health Exams for Exotic Pets
Exotic pets have unique health needs, and regular checkups are essential. Having established baselines and a husbandry care plan is critical to keep patients happy and healthy. Our team will evaluate your pet’s diet, habitat, temperature, humidity, and overall well-being to ensure they thrive. To provide the best care, please bring:
- A full breakdown of their diet (what and how often they eat). Taking a photo of the food’s name, ingredients, and nutritional breakdown is very helpful.
- Housing details, including enclosure size, substrate, and lighting.
- Information on any other animals they are housed with and if they share health concerns.
- For reptiles, please bring the information on their UVB lighting, temperature regulation, and humidity levels.
Advanced Diagnostics and Treatment for Exotic Pets
We offer full diagnostic services tailored to exotic species, including:
- Bloodwork to assess organ function, detect infections, and monitor overall health.
- Radiographs (X-rays) to evaluate bones, respiratory health, and internal structures.
- Ultrasounds for detailed imaging of soft tissues and internal organs.
- Dentistry to address dental disease, beak trims, and oral health concerns.
- Surgical procedures for a variety of conditions, including mass removals and reproductive surgeries.
- Laser therapy for treating wounds, arthritis, egg binding, bumble foot as well as many other concerns
