Dr. Emily Butts is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and is excited to once again be at VCA PetMed, after relocating to New York for several years. They have two cats, Stanley and Sable. In her free time, she enjoys cross-stitching, baking, reading, doing yoga, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Butts is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She fell in love with the field due to the power of the human-animal bond and the ability to protect and support that bond as your friendly neighborhood veterinarian. One of her passions is animal behavior and providing fear-free medical care for patients whenever possible. She is also very passionate about senior and geriatric pet care, as well as compassionate end-of-life care. She is Level 2 Senior Dog Veterinary Certified from the Senior and Geriatric Dog Society and Fear Free Certified.
She has an additional interest in surgery, preventive medicine, pain management, and dermatology.
