Lindsay Shelden

I grew up in the veterinary field, but only officially joined the industry in January 2015. Despite being the family trade, I was never attracted to the medical side of things; I knew I could do a lot more good in the veterinary industry on the management side.

I graduated from the University of Louisville's College of Business in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Management.
I'm most interested in building a great culture at VCA Shelden. My goal is to make our practice the best possible place to work! We're doing a lot to make that happen, but it mostly comes down to listening to your team and fostering open communication. This is a tough industry to work in, so it's important that we take care of ourselves in addition to our patients!

I have two four-legged kids and quite a few freshwater fish. Dylan is an English shepherd and my co-pilot; he's definitely the coolest dog I've ever known. Mona is my gorgeous long-haired calico with a dark past. She's an oddball, even by feline standards, but I adore her.

I live with my long-time boyfriend in the Highlands, and am lucky to have Cherokee Park right outside my front door. When I'm not working, I love to be in the kitchen making tasty food (especially baked goods!), in the studio sewing or playing harp, or out on the road with my favorite local running group.
