Celebrate Earth Day with these outdoorsy dog activities

Protecting the planet takes all of us pitching in, and we bet your dog would love to help out, too!

 

 

Try these fun, outdoorsy ways to care for the environment with your favorite fuzzy earthling this Earth Day:

•  Plant a tree (or a garden or even a houseplant!) to make the world a little bit greener. Your dog may not be able to help shovel, but they’ll sure love cheering you on.
•   Clean up your favorite park so the two of you can keep enjoying your go-to outdoor hangout free of debris. 
•  Walk an errand by ditching the car and taking your dog on a walk to nearby destinations, like picking up the kids from school or going to the pet store.
•   Make your dog a BARK Ranger at a participating national park. Depending on the park, you and your dog may have fun activities to complete, a pledge to take and a cool badge or tag to show off.
•   Hike a beautiful nature trail and then share a picture of your great day outdoors to raise awareness of Earth Day and the importance of safeguarding our natural habitats.
