Pet Boarding

Cat Boarding

Planning your vacation or a weekend getaway? Your pet’s stay at VCA Todds Lane Animal Hospital will receive the utmost care and personal attention! Our kennel staff is devoted to providing for the care and comfort of every pet that stays with us to include plenty of human contact and play time.

Cats are provided their own 2-room suite (when available) with a window to the outdoors that will entertain them for hours! Any health concerns are reported immediately to our doctors. We ask that you provide consent for our doctors to treat any emergency conditions in the event we are unable to contact you. Our normal fees do apply but we will always make every effort to contact you or your designated representative before providing any care that you did not request at check-in.

Reservations

We strongly recommend reservations, especially during the summer and holiday seasons. Call us to make your pet’s reservations at 757-826-7602 today!

Policies and Requirements

All pets staying in our facility must be up to date with the following vaccinations and tests provided by a licensed veterinarian. This protects your pet as well as others in our care. For this reason we must have proof that the vaccinations and tests are up-to-date at the time your pet checks in. If provided at another veterinary office, please provide us a copy of the records and a contact number for the office at the time your pet is checked-in. If you are unable to provide the documentation we will perform the needed services at our normal fee (a doctor exam is required for all vaccinations provided).

CATS – Feline distemper/rhinotracheitis/calici, Rabies, Intestinal Parasite Exam (Fecal Exam)

Diet and Personal Items

Unless otherwise requested we provide a well balanced diet that meets the standards of the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). Guests are fed twice a day unless otherwise requested. Water is available at all times. You may provide a special diet and/or treats and we will make every effort to feed your pet in accordance with your recommendations. We require that special request diets be provided in separate, clearly labeled individual packages – 1 for each day your pet will be staying with us in order to help us comply with your requests. Zip lock bags or disposable plastic containers are recommended (please do not bring any containers that need to be returned). Personal items may be left with your pet to help him/her feel at home. It is important to realize that these items can be damaged or lost during your pets’ stay so please do not bring any valuable or sentimental item or anything that cannot be discarded at the end of the boarding period. We will make every effort to return all items that are still in good condition. If possible we will wash all cloth items on the last day of boarding. We ask that you do not leave any collars or leashes with our pet while they are boarding. You may leave a harness or other item that is medically necessary and or doctors will determine that it is safe to leave on your pet during their stay. We will make every effort to avoid loss or damage but cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged items.
