CVT, BS, MVCC

Amanda earned her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Mount Ida College in 2010 and her Master's Degree in Veterinary Clinical Care from Lincoln Memorial University in 2024. She's been with VCA Wakefield since April 2007, and she's been a certified veterinary technician since 2010. Amanda also has experience working at other facilities in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery/anesthesia, and shelter medicine, as well as working at a technical high school. She is a Certified Fear Free™ Professional.

Over the coming years, Amanda is looking to earn her Veterinary Technician Specialty certification in either general practice, emergency and critical care, or anesthesia. She'd also like to teach at a veterinary technician college program, and she wants to study marine medicine.

Amanda's favorite part of working at VCA Wakefield is her colleagues. "I work with some of the most talented doctors and technicians. I also love the variety of cases and patients that we see."

Amanda lives on Cape Ann with her family, including her husband, three children, one tuxedo cat, and two dogs. When she's not working, she enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, and hanging out with her kids.
