Dr. Brittany Childs is no stranger to VCA West Suburban Veterinary Hospital. She was carried in as a baby the first time she came in the door with the family dog, Pal. She worked as an assistant every summer during high school and came to love the hospital, the medical team, and especially the patients.
Dr. Childs graduated with honors from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and minors in Environmental Studies and Biochemistry. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 from the University of Illinois.
Dr. Childs provides high quality veterinary care for exotic pets, dogs, and cats. Her professional interests include ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and exotic/wildlife medicine.
In her spare time, Dr. Childs enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and drawing. She and her husband share their home with a rescue dog (Nala) and three rescue frogs (Barry, Rana, and Grenouille).
