April is a dog mom, reality TV lover and one of our newest veterinary assistants. Her passion for animals and dedication to helping others has helped her grow quickly within our hospital. Growing up, April was fascinated with animals and even wanted to be a dolphin trainer at Sea World. After graduating from the University of Oregon, she moved to San Diego and began selling luxury real estate. Her love for animals drew her to volunteering with a local dog rescue helping abandoned and sick dogs from Mexico. She quickly realized helping animals brought a happiness to her life she could not ignore and decided to make a career change. April is currently pursuing schooling to become a registered veterinary technician and her favorite part of working at VCA 4 Paws is helping sick pets, working on hospitalized cases and educating clients on pet health.
