Others would much rather be anywhere else, unsure of the unfamiliar sounds, surroundings, and attention. Dr. Jordann Sinai understands that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to helping a pet feel comfortable. At VCA Bayview Animal Hospital in Toms River, NJ, she takes the time to meet each patient where they are, using gentle handling, positive reinforcement, and plenty of treats to build trust and help make veterinary visits feel safer and less stressful.
That respect for animals as individuals began long before Dr. Sinai became a veterinarian. Growing up, she fostered many different animals and participated in Trap-Neuter-Return programs for community cats, giving her firsthand experience caring for animals with different backgrounds, needs, and levels of trust in people. Those experiences helped shape both her path into veterinary medicine and her belief that compassionate care begins with understanding the animal in front of you.

Dr. Sinai earned her degree in Animal Sciences from Rutgers University before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. She is also Fear Free Certified, providing additional training in recognizing and reducing fear, anxiety, and stress during veterinary care. That training complements the patience and individualized approach she brings to helping pets feel more comfortable during their visits.
That thoughtful approach to care extends beyond the veterinary visit. Dr. Sinai is particularly passionate about pet nutrition and preventive health and believes the choices families make throughout a pet's life can have a meaningful impact on that pet's long-term well-being. She helps clients understand how nutrition and preventive veterinary care can support their pet's health, giving families information they can use to make thoughtful decisions at home and throughout every stage of their pet's life.
