For Tori Lauro, creating an exceptional veterinary experience begins with the people behind the care. As hospital manager of VCA Bayview Animal Hospital in Toms River, NJ, she is committed to building a team where people are supported to grow, encouraged to work together, and empowered to bring their best to every pet and family they serve. Her vision is for every client who walks through Bayview's doors to feel that difference through a team that listens, communicates, and genuinely cares about the relationships it builds.
Tori believes strong veterinary teams are built through continuous learning, collaboration, and a shared commitment to client hospitality. One of the most rewarding parts of her role is helping team members discover their strengths, develop new skills, and reach their goals. By investing in the people who care for Bayview's patients, she helps create an environment where ideas are welcomed, knowledge is shared, and everyone understands the role they play in making pets and clients feel valued.
“I get to support the people who care for our patients. Watching someone grow, master a new skill, and realize what they are capable of is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.”
Her connection to veterinary medicine and the Toms River community is deeply personal. Tori grew up in the area and remembers bringing her own pets to VCA for care as a child. Years later, she began her own VCA career working directly with clients and ultimately joined Bayview, where she now has the opportunity to lead a hospital serving the same community she has long called home. That journey gives her a unique appreciation for the trust families place in their veterinary team and the lasting impact a hospital can have throughout a pet's life.
With more than two decades of veterinary experience, Tori brings both professional knowledge and a deep understanding of the client experience to the way she leads Bayview. She studied veterinary practice management through Penn Foster and is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, bringing that expertise to a leadership philosophy centered on one belief: the strength of the team directly shapes the care and experience clients receive. She works to create a culture where people communicate openly, learn from one another, and take shared responsibility for making every pet and family feel valued. For Tori, exceptional hospitality isn't an extra step in veterinary care. It is part of the care.
“The experience we create for our clients starts with the team we build. When our people feel supported, continue learning, and work together, they can create the kind of care and relationships our community deserves.”
For Tori, leading VCA Bayview Animal Hospital is an opportunity to give back to the community that has been part of her own story for most of her life. She wants Bayview to be the veterinary hospital Toms River-area families know they can turn to throughout every stage of their pet's life, with a team that earns their trust through the care it provides and the way it shows up for them.
