Dr. Aguilar is a Miami native. He discovered his love for veterinary medicine while volunteering at Miami Dade Animal Services, shadowing veterinarians, and working as an undergraduate research assistant in dairy cow reproductive medicine. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor's in Animal Science. He then pursued his veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. 

Dr. Aguilar returned home to Miami after graduation and is very excited to begin his career with VCA Brickell Animal Hospital. He has special interest in small animal internal medicine and preventative medicine.

Dr. Aguilar shares his home with his girlfriend and his German Shepherd-Malinois mix, Kimba. In his free time, he loves to go to the beach, play fetch with his dog, play guitar, and cheer on his Florida Gators football team (Go Gators!).
