Born in Havana, Cuba, Azariel Mendez discovered a deep passion for animals from a very young age, setting the course for an impactful journey. Today, he is a devoted professional in the veterinary industry, with over 25 years of experience and a daily renewed love for the field.

Mendez pursued higher education at Florida International University (FIU), earning a bachelor's degree in psychology followed by a master's degree in disaster management. As an alumnus of FIU (Go Panthers!), he continues to integrate knowledge from both disciplines into his professional endeavors.

Outside of his veterinary career, Mendez finds joy in gardening, a hobby that complements his nurturing instincts. He also enjoys fishing, although he admits to having a greener thumb than a knack for angling.

Mendez cherishes his beautiful family, consisting of his wife, daughter, son, and two beloved dogs, who bring warmth and happiness to his life.
