Dr. Carrie VandeStadt graduated from Simmons College in Boston in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She worked for the New England Aquarium in Boston as part of the marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation network,and for the New England Medical Center in the dermatology research lab.Wanting to combine her interest in medicine and her love of animals,she successfully applied to the Tufts University of School of Veterinary Medicine,receiving her DVM degree in 1993.She started her professional career working in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia,but soon returned to New England where she started working at our hospital.
