Dr Ponson grew up in Slidell, Louisiana. Since the age of five, she knew that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University. After practicing for one year in North Carolina, Dr Ponson returned to the New Orleans area and began practicing at Causeway Animal Hospital in 2008. Dr Ponson enjoys ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and forming long term relationships with her clients and their pets. Dr Ponson resides in Lakeview with her husband Garrett, her three stepchildren, and their two dogs, Lucky (King Charles Cavalier) and Clancy (Golden Retriever). In her spare time, Dr Ponson enjoys long distance running, cooking, traveling, watching sports, and all of the wonderful things New Orleans has to offer.
